transfer case low?

I have a quick question. What would be the sympotms of a low transfer case (low fluid). I would just check mine but the po stripped the damn bolt to check it so i have to find a way to get the bolt out. In the mean time is there symptoms for having low fluid?

You could drill and tap a hole into the plug, then use red threadlocker on the bolt, then try to back it out.

Or you could weld a bolt the the plug.
