Transfer case leak on '88 Pickup

I have had a leak from the transfer case on my truck for a while now. At first I didn't know where the fluid was coming from (there would always be drips under the truck and fluid hanging from the cross member), but when I recently changed all my fluids, I noticed the transfer case was low on fluid, so I'm assuming that's the culprit. I would like to take care of this problem, but I would like to know where it's most likely leaking from, and how big of a pain in the ass it is going to be to fix it. Is there a gasket, etc that would be most likely to blame?

Rob

u have basically 4 places, either drive shaft seal or the shifter tower gasket or the worst the seal for the output shaft from the tranny. to the transfer case. witch the tranfer case has to be pulled out.

There are a few gaskets in the T-case. It is most likely leaking from the rear output seal. But you need to clean it all up and drive it for a while and look for the possible area it is coming from.
Its possible that it is leaking from the drain plug too. Its hard to say exactly where it is leaking without looking at it or having a better description.
