I love mine! Painted it up and you're good to go! I haven't had any major hits with it yet so I can't say on durability but it feels stronger than most bumpers.

Looking sharp. They look like good quality for the price.

Was it the tire carrier that didn't fit right? What did you have to fix.

it wasn't designed to work with the tire carrier. had to adjust the bumper to make it work

I am finally in the market for a tube rear bumper, and I have been eyeing these trail gear ones. But, I feel like they stick out too far. I find myself finding my current stock setup with a stock hitch getting in the way often. What do you users of this bumper think about this issue? Afterall I understand the stock hitch mounts much lower than this bumper.

The TG bumper hugs the body a whole lot tighter than the factory bumper. It really raises the rear ground clearance if I interpreted your question right haha. I have bent my stock bumper to crap and almost broke it on some steeper stuff that hasn't really been a problem for the trail gear one.

Interesting. On that first pic, the trd pickup, it looks like its sticking out far, perhaps its the angle? If you say it protrudes outward less than stock I want to believe you

Oh I'm sorry I thought you meant vertically not horizontal! It may stick further out then if I recall correctly. I still have my stock bumper in the scrap pile, when I get home I'll measure and get some info for you!

I also feel it's worth saying I'm a huge phony. My truck isn't really a trd, just decals I got made after I painted my truck so I could have cool stickers like the racecars! Hahaha

I am very curious how the rear extension measurement is compared with the stock If you are able to take that measurement it would be great!

I like mine a lot, not much area to modify it for a swing out tire carrier though, that was my original plan. I live in a town where cars dont get inspected and there are a lot of drivers who should not be driving. I am thankful I have my bumper, the corners all have scratches on them from where people have hit my bumper in the parking lot. My bumper is un damaged, couldnt imagine what their car looks like. It gives me a better departure angle on the trail too. and serves as a nice step for getting to my roof for cleaning.

Well, better departure angle than stock is good. I'm surprised you didn't find enough area for a tire carrier though. I plan on that setup. Hope I can make it work :/ .

I have basically put this one in the shopping cart but am still looking for the possibility of one that is very similar but doesn't stick as far out the back as the trail gear looks like it does.

I kind of like how far back it sticks out of the back, its like a little step.Basically If you want to mount a swing out, youve got to use this support tubing here:

Then I dont know what to do wit hthe upper part of the bumper tubing, It doesnt help that I dont know how to weld either
