so I'm almost finished with my head gasket and timing chain job but I've hit a few speed bumps. I went to install my intake and exhaust manifolds and realized I don't have any of the studs in the head anymore. so since I have to buy new ones I'm debating whether to go with LCEperformance studs or just go to the dealership and order oem studs.
from LCE it'll cost me $46.49 (thats with shipping) I haven't got a hold of the dealership yet. Would it be cheaper, less painful and easier to just go through the dealership?

 

i think toyotapartszone.com will be cheaper. oem parts are fairly cheap there

Ace/True Value, metric automotive studs, same as OEM, WAY less $$$.

I've replaced dozens of them on my truck, of all shapes and sizes. Most auto parts stores can get them for you too. But it might take them 'til the next day(if not in stock). My local Carquest has drawers full of them, for ~ the same price as the local hardware store.

Bottom line: I've never needed to go more than 5-6 blocks to get ANY automotive stud I've ever wanted. In fact, the only hardware I've needed for my truck, but haven't found locally, is torsion bar adjusting nuts & bolts. Toyota got some of my hard-earned cash for those.

 

You are really lucky I have never been able to find anything local at all.

except for the M6 and M8 hardware

Only at my JIS suppliers have I found M10 x 1.25 studs .

Then the Toyota ones have the torx head to install them which I do like.

Then the way my fumble fingers drop things I need a full bolt bin of Toyota Hardware.

 

Think i paid less than 2 bucks a stud at the local dealer, it was so cheap I replaced all my exhaust hardware.
