toyota service manual issues
I just called a toyota dealership and was informed that the toyota service manual for a 86 pickup doesn't exist anymore (not being published) any thoughts on this? where I could get one etc.?? I have a haines and well.. it's not the greatest to say the least. (if you can't say anything nice dont say anything at all :pat: ) does anyone have any ideas where I could locate one or a better option than a haines or chilton?
thanks
thanks

There's a service where you can join for a day and download everything you need for 24 hours. Can't think of it at the moment though. Search for FSM download.
Found it:

Used to be on a stickie - maybe it still is, but I couldn't find it.

keep in mind they changed a lot of things between 86 and 88...many sensors, wiring harness things, emissions controls, and even some body parts are different.

I have gotten both of mine off of Ebay.
If you search and wait a little you can get some really nice ones for a good price.
I paid $25 for my 83 and $30-40 for the '90.
You could also look in Amazon. Alot of the books i get for research stuff are used ones from Amazon vendors. Just picked up 2 trail guides, a topo map, a ghost town book, and the toyota bible for $60+s/h.
I have seen copies in the library too if you want to just go copy what you need.

Us, real men don't need or read instructions or manuals. We just tear stuff apart and put it back together(pray it works). Any parts left over either get sold or thrown on the parts pile in the corner of the shop!
Good luck!
