Toyota Engine Builders Springfield

Hey guys,

Looking at an engine for my 4runner. I found a company in Springfield that seems to have a good deal on a 3vze. Rebuilt with heads, water pump, intake, oil pan on it and such. Bit of a road trip but Mom and Dad live in Springfield so thats ok.

Anybody ever work with Ben at Toyota Engine Rebuilders? He says all they do is Toyota's. Engine comes with a 3 yr unlimited mileage guarantee.

He also sells an exhaust kit that routes the exhaust down and away from the heads.

Interested to hear any reviews of this shop.

Thank you

Just curious which Springfield ??

It would not surprise me there is at least one or more in every state.

Thanks,

Springfield Oregon. The same one as the Simpsons. Also referred to as Springtucky. (I grew up there so I can say that)

But your probably right, one in every state.

Thanks

How much? I would rather rebuild my own and if you have the ability and the place to do it, I personally think you would be better off doing it yourself. You will know what you have when you are done and not just some persons good enough.

$1695 for the engine another $155 for a Toyota Knock Sensor and pigtail. He will also cut me break on my core since it is already .40 over.

Wouldn't be apposed to building my own, however can't really see doing it any cheaper that that. Especially since I need to find a good block to start with.

Thank You

Hey! How did this engine end up working out?
I'm looking to buy one from them as well.
