Toyota doesn't carry my part! Help!

I am very much in need of a "reverse shift head" for an 86' G52 tranmission, Toyota doesn't carry the part anymore, but they did give me the part # 33231-35040.
The reverse shift head is inside the tranmission, if you seperate the front and back half of the transmission you'll find 4 shifting rods, the #3 shifting fork, and the reverse shift head. (i'm looking for a picture, but haven't been able to find one yet) it has 3 holes that are about 1/2 inch in dia. one at top, and two closer together on the bottom. It's about 4" tall and on the top/side you'll find a U that holds the gear selector. This part shifts from reverse to 5th gear!... If you have a junked out G52 transmission I really need this part! Thank You-Hiriden

Does the g52 have the transfer case shift separate from where the gear shifter goes in or are they in the same case? I may have what you are looking for I have a few different trannys and one that had the input shaft blow apart. I will have a look when I get home. If you could take a picture of the part it would help.

x2. Marlin Crawler will have what you need. E-mail is probably the best means to get a hold of them lately. Or you can try their forum.

FLASH: the t-case shifter is located on the transmission itself.
LOCALMOTION: Toyota doesn't carry the part anymore, it's been discontinued (called the # on the link just to be sure)
DCG: I've tried calling Marlin several times (559-252-7295) but I can't get ahold of anyone... do you have another # for them???
keep the suggestions coming, and thanx for the previous ones! Hiriden

PROBLEM SOLVED! thanx everyone for all the help!..... If your transmission wont shift out of reverse, it's probably the "reverse shift head" the new part # is 3395-35020 if anyone else needs the same thing! I have to wait THREE WEEKS for them to ship the part here from Cali.... it's the only place in the whole county the Toyota parts guy could find one! Thanx again all, you guys are awesome! Hiriden

That's the nice thing about 1sttoyotaparts.com. They keep the old numbers in the database, so if there's an updated one, it will tell you and still get you the part.
