I have an 89 toyota with a 22re and i am looking to turbo it. Has anyone done this? Ifso, what all did you do to the motor as far as pistons, injectors, fuel delivery, boost, ecu?

It sure would be easier to rebuid a 22ret than try to swap yours over, I have all you need to do it just sitting in my shed waiting.

Pistons: JE pistons, custom sized, forged, 8.5:1 CR. If I was doing it again, I'd go to lower compression.

Injectors: 440 cc from a 7MGTE supra. I need to go to larger injectors, I have 530cc from an 87-88 RX72 turbo II waiting on install.

Fuel delivery: Walbro 255 LPH pump. Honestly, the stock fuel pump is adequate for use under 200hp.

Boost: Configureable. Today, 11psi at the compressor, 9psi at the manifold. 93 octane.

ECU: Megasquirt - and megasquirt to stock wiring adapter harness. No AFM.
