Yeah, I'm guessing anyone with surfer in their user name is probably close to the ocean and salt damage can be bad. A pic of the break can reveal a lot of info (I had a semester of metalurgy)

 

I think someone swapped bars left/right...

But we wont know until we see pics...

I running "300M" bars of unknown diameter.
Very stiff - set up for "pre running" rather than rock crawling

 

I had 25mm SAWs. Way too stiff unless you have a big bumper and a winch.
Stay with used stockers. I gave mine away when I did the solid axle swap. Gotta be others out there. The install is a piece of cake.

 

Removal and installation is pretty basic but the passenger side on the V6's is a PITA. I have the SAW torsion bars and like 'em a lot but the majority of my wheeling is running down the National Seashore so no real slow crawling and flexing.

 

I have those same bars in mine and I feel they are too stiff. way too stiff

 

I ran the Downey with Bilsteins...way to harsh of a ride over bumps and on the freeway. Went back to OEM for now.

I keep the H&R spring for the rear...nice ride for now. I hope the t-bar don't fade and go soft in the future.

One note my 93 T4R is an auto...and I had a heck of a time trying to remove the passenger side t-bar. I removed the screws that hold the trans ATF cooler in place and then removed the passenger side t-bar with no issue at all. Made the job much much easier... I was stuck for an hour trying to figure how I installed the DOR T-bar.

I forgot how I installed the DOR bars (as that was a while ago). So when I tried to remove them yesterday...I forgot how to take out the passengers side (I remembered it was tight fit...but not like this). I was stuck and tried to search the web...with no solutions and the FSM was not helpful at all....basically loosen bolt and slide the t-bar out...no kidding.

So I posted what helped me...hoping it would help some poor DIY guy down the road.

 

idk if the torsion bar is the same as the drag link but i was pulling out of my parking lot and the bish snapped like nothing. good thing i wasnt on a major street lol
i also had 35'' tires and about a 4" body lift
