Topless is the only way....
Perverts... Just wanted to let you know I finally got one...
Just picked this up for $300. Needs a motor, but was included in the price. (The one from the little mule) Can't wait to get this one on the road... It's an 89 so still IFS, but that'll change eventually. Gonna 2" Body lift it and 4" Suspension lift (That I already have) and put my spool in it first...

Needs some work, but that's OK... Soon It'll be on the road...

That's the idea, anyway. I couldn't see how to fit a manual crank with the factory Toy set-up.
Oops...sorry for the slight derailment. Move-on.

That wouldn't be too terribly difficult with some fab tools. I actually have an idea'r for it. Taking the tailgate and cutting out all the existing framework for the electric set up, weld in a new one to fit the regulator and all from a vintage suburban....using the Toyota glass, of course. Those older suburbans had that feature and it's pretty handy.

Anyways, thus one of the additional reasons why I haven't replaced the motor... Cause it probably wouldn't work for my home grown oh-dog-gonnit-someone-bashed-in-my-window solution.

Found it lexan at home dpot. They had a shiet of 24x48x3/8 fo $48. A bud workde there and scan that instaed of the $68 for the 1/2 thick.
Lots better than the 2 bills a place thingamajigger told me for get a replace though huh? Anglo grinder with a diamond thingy works great for lexan. Smells kinda funny thoug when it gets hot...

When I drove my 91 Runner into the Swamp on purpose, they called it "The Swamp Donkey" So when I told them I am building another truck, and asked what color it should be. They said green and call it "The Snot Rocket", because every Superhero needs a sidekick. "You know like the Adventures of Swamp Donkey and Snot Rocket"....

Wow, that's a pretty penny to get lexan. It's still better for a get a replace from the place thingamajigger than, though.
I have a while before I need. I guess I should start saving up. BTW, is it perfectly clear....transparent?

Hey, since you're going to spool it, does this mean it will no longer be good for on road driving?

Aint fogged yet. But then again I only really have the hard top on for the winter, and half of that is couldy days. Nah, its got a lot of scratches from me proving over and over that a good ol' old school brass lewy ville slugger swung at full strength wont break it. That plus trees from off roadin and other such trauma have made it pretty scratched up. Tuff stuff though!
And thingamajigger is sooo my word
