Top off switch on 4Runner

Top off switch on 4Runner
Well, after getting the 4runner back and trying to figure out why the window in the rear wont go up or down, I found the problem. The "Top Off" switch which is closed when the top gets bolted down appears to be half missing. Check out the picture to see what I mean:

This is the switch, viewd from the bottom. You can see directy thru it where the screw is supposed to close a circuit to show that the top is mounted. You can see the contacts but no obvious way for the contacts to touch when a screw is inserted. Is there s missing peice to this? I wouldnt think a switch to have no bottom like this.

This is the connector side, you can see there is 3 prongs, but me connector only has two wires? This seems to be normal since it's only passing the closed circut thru, but I just want to make sure.
You may be asking how my window has worked in the past if the switch was like this the whole time. I doubt it's been like this since the contacts are crystal clean. Im thinking my brother lost the bottom/inner parts of this switch when he had it. I tried looking in the inner well to see if it fell out while driving at some time, no dice.

Not 100% sure, but it may be the bolt itself that makes the connection:

If thats the case then I need a longer bolt cause this one is short. It was a new one that the PO placed in the rig. I was wondering that thought at first, but couldnt remember if that bolt was longer then the others or not.

I belive that bolt is special, and probably the longest:

There should be a little spring loaded button sticking up which the bolt pushes down. It looks like the ones in the door jam that makes the dome light come on. On my 86 and 88, all the bolts are the same length.

Now that helps... first I have to figure out why is up with my wipper now. I somehow was rolling the window up and hit the wiper button as well and now the wiper wont move nor the window. Glad the window is down only 1/8th from the top. Anyone have ideas?

Im going to try that today, but I dont think it was that. My wiper isnt all the way up (kinda at that almost up position where it hangs normally) and I get no response out of the wiper. Im going to start playing around tonight hopefully.

The wiper issue was the point of my post above. Disconnect the plug to the wiper and that should diasble the interlock switch there IIRC.

Well I disconnected the cable for the wipper and no dice. Hear nothing nor see anything move. I also found a 6 pin connector with only 3 wires behind the driver kick panel that is connected to nothing. Any ideas on that one? It got too cold to play around much more tonight. The color of those wires are Red/Green, Brown/Black, Brown/Yellow. Any thoughts?

Well it looks like that mystery connectory may be the cruise control which another guy with a 4Runner has the same deal. As far as the window switch goes, I was going to take apart the console and play with the switched to see if giving a direct ground to the switch will move it. If that does work then I am back at step 1. If it doesnt, I am in the dark.

Well, the bolt for the top stack switch is longer. I suspect you installed it in another hole.
