tooth pattern help

please,need some pro opinion,this is a 4.88 yukon on a elocker with .077 shim and .007 bl.

lol, tooooo shallow now.

Do you have enough shims?
Are you making sure your calipers are acurrately measure the shims?
Are you using a crush sleeve or solid collar(which at this point you shouldn't have installed in order to do the gear mesh)?
How much pinion preload are you putting in?

thanks for your response.first was a stock 077 shim now using yukon mini kit.triple check the measurement.crush not yet installed.maybe my problem is the preload,my small torque wrench n inches have a large scale.

It's hard too say exactly what the problem is without being there.

Are you actually MEASURING your shims? That could be an issue too.

Are you lubing the pinion bearings with gear oil to get a good preload?

How accuarate is your CBPL (carrier bearing preload)?

I've built numerous diffs (majority were elockers), and only ONE has "fallin together" on the first shot. I still tripple checked it

.082,lubed the bearings now first shot was at 10bl sec shot at 7bl.

Hi Mandy --- I'd like to see you try 094 and if you could load the pattern the same way I do. Secure the 3rd...hold a rag on the pinion flange lightly while turning the ring gear with a 17mm wrench back and forth 3 times.....you will have a good easy to read paint then. 007 is ok on BL
