I'm looking at adding some height to my 95 4runner, but not sure what way to go about it. My mechanic told me to stay away from lifting it, as it will make the ride more bumpy, he said to give it bigger wheels and tires. What size tire and wheel can I use at the factory stance, with out rubbing the fenders and such?

44x19.50 boggers will fit stock!!! lol jk na man these trucks clear 31x10.50 pretty good stock. get some 31x10.50 tires with some nice 15x8" rims and call it a day

I'm pretty sure 33x10.5 fits with minimal trimming( I believe just pounding in the pinch weld is all that needs to be done), however you will lose power and MPGs if you dont regear the differentials with the bigger tires. I would recommend 31x10.5s if you don't want to spend lots of money and such

 

theres NOTHING wrong with lifting a truck...and ACTUALLY...(IF DONE RIGHT!!!!!!!) a lift will result in a BETTER ride than stock.

would not go with a bigger wheel, 33x12.5-15 will fit stock with minimal rub at full turn on the sway bar. you can go 35, but you will have to trim.

on the left hand side of your screen on the home page, theres a link that says "Toyota SUV and truck Tech".
Click that.
go to your appropriate year (your truck looks like an '86-'88 pickup...so the '86-'95 section will work.....or the NEWBIE TECH SECTION!)
a little ways down the screen on the left hand side is a Blue button that says "Post New"...or "New Thread" or "post new thread" or something like that....that's how ya do it...

have to entire a title before it will post as well.
