Timing weirdness
So my 87 4x4 pickup 5spd 22r (carb) won't start. The weird thing is, I was driving the truck for 2 weeks before. I had gotten home on a Friday from work, I went to work on the brakes Sat, went to start it up and it just cranked, but wouldn't fire.
I have fuel (I rebuilt the carb last Sunday) and spark. I haven't checked the compression yet. I did check the timing however, which is where I'm completely stumped.
I set #1 to TDC (the rotor was pointing to #1, and both the intake and exhaust rockers had play). But the timing mark on the harmonic balancer doesn't line up at any point that #1 comes up, but all of the other cylinders do.
I pulled the balancer it didn't separate or turn, the keyway and the notch line up.
