Throwout bearing or input shaft bearing???

I know next to nothing about transmissions, which is why I had my buddy (mechanic for 14 years) install a new clutch, pressure plate, slave cylinder, throwout bearing, and pilot bearing in my 91' Toyota truck V-6 4x4. The clutch worked perfectly for weeks until it began making a squeeking sound. The sound occurs if the clutch is in or out. The sound changes pitch when I push in the clutch pedal. When you push coming out of the trans. on the passenger side, the noise goes away temporarily. He seems to think it's the throwout bearing, but I've heard that if the noise is constant, it's the input shaft bearing. Which one of us is right? I can't afford to just throw parts at the truck.

Sounds, and I said "sounds," like the to bearing. If it was not lubed properly it could squeal.
No need to throw parts at it... have your experienced mechanic type friend help you diagnos what the issue is.
Pull the trans and check things out. Could be something minor and simple to fix.
