Throttle Body Vacuum lines
theres 3 vacuum lines coming off the top of the TB...if i unplug them with the motor idling and warm nothing happens...correct me if im wrong but wouldnt this create a sizeable vacuum leak and and have an effect on the idle? could these little metal tubes be clogged? and all these questions come from having a sticky idle that a tap on the accelerator fixes. and what do these tubes do? i think one makes it over to the charcoal canister...?
heres a picture of the lines coming off of the TB:

Shoot a LOT of PB Blaster into the accelerator cable & around the spring to the left of the TB in that pic. See if that helps.
I'm not near my truck now, but I thought one of those hises was plugged off. Do you have an auto tranny? I thimk autos use the spare.
Also, some vacuum lines only have vacuum during certain conditions (rpm, cold, etc.).

Well, I don't know, you could look at the manual? http://www.ncttora.com/fsm/1993/engine/74layoutan.pdf
One goes to the TVV which goes to the vacuum canister. The other two are part of the EGR system. And since all three are on the atmosphere side of the throttle plate at idle, there should be almost no vacuum when the throttle is closed. (and no vacuum leak).
(There is a fourth one that goes to the idle hold-off, and a fifth that is blocked, neither are visible in your photo.)
If you want to test them, just pull a line, open the throttle, and put your finger on the metal tube. You should feel suction.
I'm not sure what "sticky" idle is, but these ports have very little effect on idle.

I'll try that this evening scope, thanks!
TNrabbit - 5 speed manual and why PB blaster in the throttle cable? Wouldn't I want to use a dry lube like graphite or something?
Alltracman - by sticky idle I mean when I come to a stop the idle sits high...around 1300 but if I tap on the accelerator it will drop back down to the 700 rpm idle I have set. I found some info on here concerning the same type of problem but it doesn't line up with other information I have read...when I get to a computer I will find a linky for that thread (on my phone now)
