Those final parts, well

I sure could use a few pics of any of you guys with w56 transmissions. I really would like to see the bracket around the slave cylinder. Went to toyota today and the pictures are pretty basic and not mounted. So if any of you can link me, or snap a few pics of your transmissions right around the slave/fork and the hydraulic lines, I'd really appreciate it. I just want to make sure I am or am not missing anything.

Will be doing my swap soon. Still recovering from recent acl surgery, otherwise I'd have crawled under a truck or 2 locally.

I appreciate the heads up, I watched Phil's thread as well. He's a great guy. But unfortunately there were no pictures of what I want. I need pictures of an installed transmission.

Thanks though!

I'm not sure what the bracket really does, but it was the same on both 87 and 89, (89 transmission). If you could Id appreciate a pic of the clutch release fork/slave/lines all that is there bolted to the bell.

He showed one part available in the country, ordered to find out. He said most likely its a fluke and unavailable. So to answer your question, I'm not sure. But what ever this mystery bracket is and does is what I'm after. it looks like it bolts up with the 2 bolts that hold the slave, but its an awful picture. I'm hopin' it just holds the metal or rubber hydraulic line, I could deal with making a replacement or temp.

Thanks Phil. Wonder if your other transmission has it?

Both my 87 4Runners don`t have any brackets just the slave cylinder mounted to the transmission.

When I get home from work I will take a picture but since there is no bracket .

I doubt it will help.

Dario - Do you have a schematic showing the dealer ordered part? They usually can print these out for you, with exploded diagrams.

I'm out of town with my truck and it's been pouring all week so I could not get under it...but snapped some photos here:

There are 2 bolts that bolt the slave to the transmission. There is a bracket that the clutch line feeds through, and the metal line kind of clips into (similar to a brake line)....this mounted to one of the starter bolts. I'm not sure if it's necessary though.
