If there's allready a thread on this I'm sorry. I have searched for it 3 times in different ways.

I'm trying to find out who sells good third members. I've got my front diff out of my 86 runner right now and was getting a bid to get it re-built and geared to 5.29. From another thread I saw this looks like it could be more expensive than I counted on.

Would it be easier for me to work on a third than a diff?
How expensive will it be for a decent one?
How expensive is getting a diff re-done?
If I get the front diff (7.5") re-geared to 5.29 will it be less dependable than a similarly geared third?
