thermostat wire color

thermostat wire color

I am new here and new to toyotas. I just recently bought a 1987 4runner with a blown head gasket. Tore motor down and completly rebuilt the motor with all new parts.I am having trouble finding the wire that goes to my tstat.a color or location would be helpful.I am ready to get this bad boy to the beach and dunes.thanks for the help guys.

There is no wire that goes to the thermostat. There are a couple of sensors nearby. Which engine do you have?

I have a 22re. The wire goes on top of the tstat housing between the upper part of the intake and valve cover. Thanks for the help.

man i wish someone would help a fellow yoda man get his rig on the road! ihave researched and nothing. i also looked in my manual book and also yeilded nothing. HELP PLEASE!

I think it green/yellow or green /red ... I know it has green on it .. My mom borrowed the yota so I can't look right now .. Here is a pic ..
