Exclamation Theft Protection

I have an 86 runner and am looking for some tips on keeping it from being stolen. Equipment, devices, whatever it takes. Thanks

But a Doberman or a Rottweiler and let her stay in there =)

Search viper alarms and a lockable console.

Best thing I've seen is to rig a kill switch somewhere hidden. On- you can start the truck, Off- No power to the ignition. Your truck may get thrashed/beaten by the theif but they arent leaving with that truck unless they either find the switch or jump your starter relay under the hood.

Kill switches on ignition and fuel.

Search around, there's lots you can do.
However, remember, if they want it, they WILL get it.

This made me think of an episode of Reno 911. They parked a car with very little gas in it, so it would die near by as soon as it was stolen. But the thiefs brought a trailer and jsut hauled it away.

As far as theft, an alarm with an active key chain (Vibrates/beeps when the alarm is even twitched) and a kill switch.

Another vote for the hidden kill switch. I have all the stuff I need to set mine up. Just need to get off my ass and do it.

you could use the old switch from fuel pump wire and place it in a stock switch mount so it looks stock and it will only run a few feet before it runs out of gas works so good I forget to flip mine and look like a fool every now and then. Add a viper alarm and you get a extra min too catch the perp.
