tail lights

in the long term goal of adding a rear tire carrier, i would like to re-work my tail lights and put truck lights in...

Does anyone know if factory tail lights from say a '91 pick-up fit and bolt into a '91 4 runner? I will do the re-wiring for the backup lights.

no the housings are different...

why are you wanting to put truck lights in just for a rear tire carrier? if you're just worried about covering up the reverse lights or something, I'd just throw on a set of rear facing aux lights, and relay it off the exsisting reverse lights
