so 2 days ago i was in my town junk yard and i stubled upon a 86 4runner the body was destroyed but the engin still runs strong it is the inline 4 i want to know how hard it would be to swap my 3.0 for the 4 cylender and would it be worth it i have a 1988 4runner curently not running

 

Wouldn't be worth it IMHO. The 3.0, as bad as it is, is still stronger than the 22RE.

If you're gonna swap, a 3.4L is the only way to go (well, maybe a 4.3L Chevy...)
