First time I've seen this thread - Wow. As others have said, what a nice truck to start hacking up, but it looks like you've done a great job of fabbing up as you go. Looks very nice and unique. Two thumbs up!

So yeah, what's with the new engine?

yep it is a stock 3.9 ltr rover v8 but its out of an ambulance so everything has been uprated.and made stronger these engines have to be very reliable.the old lump overheated due to the rad being blocked with mud.so it started to develop a bottom end knock,so rather than strip down and repair i opted to fit this engine,so when i say new, what i really meant was a second hand engine but new to this vehicle. its been a labour of love over the past year or so this is it when i bought it.

Dude that conversion looks sweet. Pretty much what I plan to do once this yoter dies in a specular ball of flame.

Very nice looking hilux. Personally I think it looked better without the yellow triangle under the red stripe but that's just me. How does the family like it?

That thing looks KILLER!!!!

Great Job!!!! I hope to one day be able to do fab work like that!

Wait! It's only 2wd? Why'd you go to so much build and fab for a 2x4?

Oh, two wheel peal, sweetness, with that, i'm thinking your surf is in need of some long travel pre-runner suspension, that would be sweet.
