I completely understand. Sometimes you just want to get it done.

When I've finished with my hacienda remodeling, I have some customizing in store for my '86 4rnr. Make a soft top (much like a CanBack), and close up the cab just behind the front seats. Only the design is inspired by the Chevy Avalanche. I'm going to take the basic design of the stock, folding rear bench seat and the seats themselves, fashion either a manually sliding rear glass or make it to clip in and out like the Avalanche. It closes up when I want and folds down when I want. The main idea is to be able to sport the soft top and still have some security and shut out inclimate weather.

Anyway, I'd love to be able to do the same as yours with my '92 4rnr (except make a soft half-back), but my wife won't have it. Worm food, I would become....lol.

You said your motor was a hybrid of Rover and TRV. I'm guessing the Rover portion is the block and the rest TRV? I did a little reading.....

Looks like he got inspired by 4hummer's rig.
Don't know if you did or not but you might want to think about caulking the seams around the rear bulkhead/body joint to make sure you don't get any exhaust leakage into the cab.

That and cut the tailpipe back a bit. But, I'll bet the new aerodynamics of the rear will take care of most of the exhaust circulation....if not all of it.

morning thook, well it is here anyway.standard gear ratios, and axles have not been messed with yet.!!!.im toying with the idea of a pair of exhaust stacks up behind the cab one each side, but i dont know wether side pipes would look better, any thoughts you guys.the engine is a standard 3.9 ltr block fitted with a 5.0 ltr stroker kit and tvr stage three heads.mallory ignition and loads of other go faster bits.wild cam, solid lifters,e.t.c. if you all liked this truck then you would love my other project truck.its a rear engined mk11 pick up.you can just see it in on the ramp in the pics of the truck in the workshop.if anyones interested i will put that on here too.gas mileage is pretty good too just depends on how heavy my right foot is.it gives me about 20 miles per gallon.on a good day.

Morning.....

Stacks? I like it as is, myself. I think stacks would be going overboard a bit.

Pics of the mk11 p'up would be fun.

the story behind the twin snorkels.well im running a 390 holley,so i made an air box to go over it.thats the big polished stainless thing in the engine pics.over here i do quite a bit of wading through deep water,so i made a couple of snorkles just to be different and plumbed them into either side of the air box.

We don't get the transit model over here...
For NA members the transit is the euro version of the Econoline but it looks more like the current Chrysler/Mercedes van.

I just checked out your other build thread. Both trucks are very cool.
The rear chop job came out very good, one of the better conversions I have seen.

the wheels are nice too...

Your truck seems vaguely familiar with the Rover V-8. Did you have it posted up here before or elsewhere with some Neon Green bumpers before? Kind of the color of the green on the valve covers.

a couple of progress shots.
ive done a land cruiser spring conversion, and the tops are a lot bigger than standard surf spring tops so to overcome it i made some top hat spacers.so the spring no longer moves around the top turret.

also fabricated a heavy duty panhard rod.with poly bushes.

and the next two are nearing completion, just a few bits to do then paint.
