I just completed a afm swap using a 1982 supra afm,before tiding up the wiring i tested it and got a no start, it ran for 3-4 seconds then died, if i tried again it wouldnt fire at all,if i waited a couple min and tried again it would start for another 3-4 seconds. did anyone else have problems like this??/

 

Nope, did you read out all the connections on the Supra AFM?

 

read out? its not starting with the stock afm either now, i didnt touch anything but the afm, must be in the wiring since i relocated the afm had to lenthen wires

 

Yeah you probably need to trace all the wires you modified and check the connections.

 

so i put afm back to stock and used the stock afm,no run, changed the ecm ,no start, checked all fuses,no start,i can head the fuel pump kick in but cant tell if it keeps running after it fires

 

check the efi 15 amp fuse on the right fender?
