That happens. Your not the first, you won't be the last. And I'd be willing to bet you'll do it again and again. Kudos for having another tow-truck on hand.

Did you drill a hole for the hose? Again I need to check my dizzy cap.

Oh and why in the hell don't folks check the depth of a water filled hole before they bail into it? God water always worries the hell out of me since it can do so much to a rig once it gets stopped.

Last thing. If you don't have diff breathers you might want to change that fluid as well and then install some. *grin*
there is a gasket where the cap meets the dizzy housing but unless its brand new its crap and sometimes the brand new one is crap so use gasket maker to seal it off.

if you look at your cap there is a tab looking thing pull that off WHOA a hole into the cap when your fan hits the water is soakes your dizzy causing you to sputter and lose power run a hose to somewhere dry.

better repack your front bearings and get some new grease on those spindle bushings or can say goodbye to those bushings and bearings.

It's about a 8hr job if all goes smooth. Will teach you to think twice before putting your rig through water again.

I'm not kidding either.

few weeks ago

Both hubs had moisture in them, pass side had brown water. I've gone through one set of bearings in 4 yrs and one set of spindle bushings. Only because of my ignorance in not dismantling, cleaning and repacking.

Don't think you're crap is sealed, it aint. =)
