yeah there's one heck of a body lift on there no doubt! But yeah I'd see if they can be balanced, or get at least as close to balaced as possible. If they still wobble, I'd try ye 'ol B-B trick Google it


but those look like they should balance out rather easily; it's not like they're 38 Boggers

 

well i can't imagine a corvette being to good to drive in the winter, and i imagine the payment on a vette not leaving much in the budget for a winter driver. makes sense to me.

personally i would sell the 38's you can probably get enough for them for a set of 35's and a couple new front end parts. and get rid of that monster bL that scares me just looking at it. i would be afraid of turning a corner too fast then the frame going one way and the cab going straight. my mental image of this truck was much worse than the actual pics.

I have to disagree. IFS has so many more bushings and joints that give and flex when you don't want them to. Like with out of round oversized tires. And the stock SFA steering will last much longer than the IFS regardless of tire size.
I have aligned so many of these trucks and I know for a fact that you can abuse the heck out of the SFA steering and nothing changes. Of course you can easily run into something with the long tie rod in the front of the axle and it will bend. I've done it running through deep mud at speed.. But thats all I've ever bent up there.
BTW I am not an IFS basher. Just someone who has worked on so many suspensions and has noticed the trend. Newer Toyota's with rack and pinion always seem to need new rack bushings way too soon.

 

I was talking more or less about the actual diff/axles strength rather than steering.

That is one hell of a body lift!

I wanna see how he managed to stretch all the wiring, cooling hoses and steering shaft to accomidate that!

I could think of alot of other "winter vehicles" you could've gotten for a decent price that wouldn't kill you if you ran it into a ditch at 35mph. I'm picturing that body breaking off just turning a corner too fast. And another thing, for a "winter vehicle", you mentioned that one reason you baught it was "cold a/c". I think you may have been having the same 'little boy, big toy' vision you had when you baught the vette. Just go on Craigslist and offer to TRADE some one the wheels and tires for some 33-35's on wheels. You know there are some hillbillies with sawz-alls just itchin' to cut their truck up and throw some big meat under it! Heck, you allready met some of them apparently!

How the heck is that truck not puking it's front suspension and steering?

I say roll with it, it's already halfway there, complete the monster truck conversion.
