Starting question

1990 Yota 4runner,3.slow,227,000 miles,all stock.

I know this is gonna sound odd,but...is it possible to flood a fuel injected 3.0?

Scenerio: Today after work,I cranked the engine and at about 2 1/2 cranks,I let go of the key, (duh...falsley assuming it would start quick after sitting all day).
I then turned the key off the whole way and cranked it again. This time it cranked forever and wouldnt start.
Tried it again. Long cranking, but wouldnt start.
So I started checking fuses. Engine,EFI,etc. All good.
The EFI relay under the hood,I pulled it out, pondered it,put it back in. (No way of checking a relay).
Cranked it again...long crank. No start.
So I made the appropriate phone calls to get a ride, went back into work to change clothes. Came out. Tried it one last time and it fired up about the 3-4th crank.
Now I ask...wtf? Was it flooded from my 1st short crank?
Is that even possible?
I made it home,no problems (never stopping anywhere to shut it off). Once I was in the driveway. I shut it off and re-started it 3 more times succesfully. Later tonight Im going to go out and try it again.

Does anyone know where the fuel pump relay is on this rig?
Is their a way of testing relays?

I checked the wiring diagram in the ol' Chilton manuel, and I cant make heads or tails of them damn schematics. To me,that might as well be a foreign language.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I cannot afford to have this rig leave me set somewhere and not knowing whats going on.
