I am having problems with a 22R carb engine starting at times. Sometimes it starts first turn of the key. Sometimes it takes 30-45 seconds to start. I bought a new fuel pump, thinking it may be leaking back. No help there. Fuel is in the site glass half way. No smoke when it does crank, and the engine runs smooth as silk. New wires, cap, rotor, and plugs. All vacuum lines good no leaks. Timing is dead on. Anyone had this problem? It just started doing it one day, out of the blue. Nothing leading up to it. Any help appreciated.

 

Mine does the same thing. No new fuel pump though. After driving for a while does the go away and start right up?
