I have a 95 4x4 V6, and it won't start. I had it sitting for about 2 months, and shortly before that I replaced the starter. Earlier today, I jumped it with no problems, it started right up. I ran it for a little bit, then went to the gas station. When I tried to start it up again, I got nothing, and needed to bother someone for a jump. I got home and left it running for about an hour to get a good charge going and then shut it off. When I went to restart it, all I got was a rapid clicking sound, and now it refuses to start at all, even with a jump. Can anyone help me with this?

 

Bad battery? If it was alternator/charging system, I doubt it would run for an hour on its own.

 

yup... sounds like battery has fizzled.

 

Ya, it was the battery. I took it to Sears and they said it was completely dead. For once, I got away with a cheap fix, it was still under warranty. Thank you both.
