Question Starting Issues

I have a 1990 pickup and lately i have had to pump the clutch to get it started every once in a while. What kind of problem does this indicate??????

Welcome to Yotatech!

Sounds like the clutch start switch is loose or faulty?

Agreed.
Only think that keeps a manual trans vehicle from cranking (based on clutch pedal movement) is the clutch safety switch or the clutch-start cancel switch. Since the clutch safety switch is triggered directly by the pedal, I'd look at the clutch pedal mounting bracket and make sure it's not cracked or otherwise bending.
