Starting issue
Bought a 1988 toyota pickup 3.slo. Replaced timing belt, pulleys, radiator, plugs, thermostat, belts, hoses, water pump. Have not replaced distributor cap and wires yet. . This solved the overheating problem. After sitting overnight it takes around 5 to 7 seconds of cranking before it starts. It stumbles for a second or so and then starts running fine. When te engine is warm it starts up fine. I figured cold start injector so I pulled it out (filthy) and cleaned it. After cleaning it its still not injecting any fuel. It's been in the 30's lately so I figured it was the cold start switch or the coolatnt temp sensor. Today it was 51 F when I tried to start it and it did the same thing. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 68 F so ill see what happens then. There is no cloud of white smoke upon starting it and it runs fine once its going. Seems like if it has the same problem tomorrow in the 60s it can't be the cold start injector or the switch, right? Any ideas? Thanks!
