Starting Issue :(
I have a starting issue with my 4Runner
when i turn the key all you hear is a click
i had the starter tested and autozone and kragen said it was good
i looked at all the fuses in my truck, they are all good and none are missing
battery is fully charged
could it be the starter relay? even tho its clicking when i turn the key?
what could i be missing here?
i recieved the truck in this condition..any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't know if my problem is the same as yours or not. I couldn't get mine to start either though, untill yesterday. The problem started about two weeks ago. The solution ended up being a fuse I didn't know about. Stuffed up above the kick panel fuse box there were two fuses inline with wires. 1 was burnt out and that was the problem. Good luck. btw, I have an '86 Runner too

i frequently have the same issue, ive tried everything, battery cables, starters, bateries, relays but it still does it on occasion. usualy jumpstarting will work or sometimes just let it sit for a while then try again. (about 10 minutes or so)
try doing a voltage drop test between the battery and the smaller wire that connects to the starter, if the test reads bad (a drop of .2volts or more) you will want to check ALL of the wires in the ignition system. Dont forget about the ignition switch, I have not tested mine yet but the voltage could very easily be dropping in the ignition switch itself.
i hope this helps, let me know what you find!
