Starter bolt?

I noticed my starter was a little loose and it appears to only be held on by the top mounting bolt . There is no stud at the bottom mount to bolt to. Does anybody know what bolt I need for this? If I find a bolt that fits can I just run it through the back of the bellhouse (I think) and out the starter and put on a nut. The top bolt seems to be threaded on both ends as there is no bolt head behind it???
thanks
Titus

If its like mine the top bolt is considerably larger in diameter then the lower ones are. IF NOT though i would pull that bold and check what thread it is and just go pick up some others like it for the lower half. Or just go to the dealership and get some, they wont be cheap there though so i would recomend finding out what those bolts were and getting them from home depo or something. I went to get a pair of shear off bolts for a mazda pickup steering column from a dealership once and it was 20bucks just for the two 1/8" long bolts after that pricing experience i just chiseled a head into the old ones and reused them lol.

the lower bolt, and the nut on the inner stud are the same size, but I cant remember what size that is. If you call the dealership you should atleast be able to figure out what size bolt you're looking for.

So do you think I can get a regular bolt with a head on one end or do I need the stud thats threaded on both ends (assuming I take the nut off the top to get the right size bolt)?

the bottom is a bolt. top is a stud. should be fine with a bolt if you can figure out the right length
