Main bumper is done, just needs to be welded up.

Every place I needed to go today was closed. So, I will get back to it when I can grab the 2x3, latch, and the struts.

It all depends on when I can get jigs built.

The quick answer is that I may start out with just the rear bumper w/o the carrier. I will tell you that it will be priced a little higher than Marlin's and All-Pro's because of the ability to tow, and because of the material used being much more expensive. It won't be "rated" for towing, but I wouldn't hesitate to tow with it at all.

I will get a weight on the bumper once I pull it off too so I know what to expect as far as shipping goes.

nice looking bumper man!...but... I would ditch the grade 5 bolt in the hinge for a grade 8.

Nope. Grade 5 will bend. Grade 8 will sheer.

Besides its setup in a dual sheer application anyway. And, there shouldn't be any load on the bolt when the carrier is closed on the hwy. I honestly just don't think it will matter.

Are you going to tie the corners into the frame?

Yes, but it needs to be pulled, welded, mostly painted, remounted, welded on, and then I will add the leg supports.

No clue at this point since I only have a 1st gen 4runner that I am working with.

I don't see why it wouldn't work though.

Bumper is done. Just need more material for the carrier and the latch to finish it all up.

I think I just found a new design to copy *cough, cough* I mean find inspiration from. I really like the hinge, I know it's a gate hinge, but where you did find just one (or did you, most places sell them in pairs)
