The start of a new project ( 86 pickup)

I just bought an 86 Toyota pickup last night. I got a pretty good deal on it, I got it for $400. I "think" all that is wrong with it is a blown head gasket and maybe the starter. We will just have to see. I hope to have some pics up soon of what it looks like now. Ill also post some of my 83 parts truck. I picked it up for $250. It has a hole the size of my fist in the side of the block, but the head is in head and all the rest of the running gear are in great shape. Im going to use the front axle to do a sas and maybe a few other parts. If anyone is interested in any other parts let me know and I also have a 20R motor that needs new valves but is in great shape other than that.

I Just pulled the engine out over the weekend. It will be getting replaced with a built 22r. I hope to have it running by the end of next week. Ill be posting more pics. Once its running I am not quite sure what i will do next. I think I need to go on and get my gears and rebuild my axles. Then I guess get my lift, so that I can do the sas.

The ending product (4x4 are never ending) that I am working towards is an 86 toyota pickup with a built 22r and a sas stuffed with 529 gears and lockers with between 7 and 8 inches of lift on 37" tires with a flat bed and on board air. Then out front a nice bumper with an 8000lbs winch (for those very few places this truck wont make it alone lol) and last a snorkel for the deep mud and water.
