Stabilizer Bar replacement question

Is it necessary to remove the torsion bar springs in order to replace the stagilizer bars on my 90' 4X4 pick-up?

Have you looked?

It should be very obvious if you check for yourself - NO.

Easy job too if your bolts/links are not rusted together. If they are, plan on replacing the links & hardware if you choose to reinstall.

I thought not but the shop manual starts off by saying to remove the torsion bar spring.
