ST2 Gettin some lovin.

Well, just a small sneak peak. Only had about an hour to work it on before my buddy closed his shop to go outta town. But it's looking promising. Got the main hoop of my tube bed bent and welded, cut about a half foot of frame from the back end, and sanded down about half of the cab to get it ready for paint (guess my paint scheme).

Gonna look sweet.

And if anyone's wondering, it'll look similar (but different. just the main influence for my design) to this one that tinbender built.

And this other random one:

Lmao, no. Gonna do the cab flat black, but all the tube work (sliders and front stinger probably a month down the road) are gonna be kawasaki green.

Not yet my friend. Have too many toys to keep me occupied at the moment, so I can't focus my powers of destruction on just one thing

Why in the world would I link the yota axles when tons are down the road?

Right after my sliders, stinger, and the rest of the exo that is. So tons, THEN link.

If only I could keep up with you, I learned after the fact a locker should've come before tires, lift, etc. Sweet truck though, too bad I never get to see it around, or your diesel.

Really, you've never seen my yoter around town? What side of san antonio are you on? And actually my dodge was stolen in front of a bowling alley about a week ago. Cops found it stripped and burnt up in salado creek. Was in a furious mood. Till I got my check and decided to go metal shopping for the yoter, and payoff my CBR

So yeah, now I've just got the work truck, the yoter, and the cbr... Probably wait about a year and either get me another diesel, or one of those 350z. But in the mean time, I've got a nice bit more to throw at the yoter

On a side note, I wanna pull out my rear 3rd (84') with it's yuk 5.29s and aussie locker, and throw it in the 3" wider IFS rear axle (86'+). Will my splines match up or am I gonna be screwed?

It's steel diamond plate. Cost a pretty penny, but I got it for a steal.

Hah, this isn't the first tube bed I've built... First toyota, and first for my own vehicle, but yeah, you know what I mean...

yeah steel is spendy, i made mine out of free pieces from friends, and some nice aluminum fenders and deck to go with it (also free from friends)
not a huge fan of those tailights, i've had a few bust. i'm gonna switch to military humvee tailights, (replacable bulbs, tougher hosuing).....projects never end right?

Hmm... I dunno. I was think flatblack for the frame, but kawa green on the frame would look pretty cool.

On second though, nah, cause then I just know I'd want to do everything else kawa green, like the original swampthing. Best to just keep it to the tubes.
