SR5 Tach reading erratically
Ok, I'll keep it short. Just did a full tuneup, replaced TPS with new from LCE per 4Crawler, and set timing.
Just took it up the freeway for a test drive that was super from 15min smooth idle with no drips to 70mph@3k rpm. Soon as I got off the freeway..... Tach gauge is reading 200-300 rpm at red light idle, but engine sounds like a normal 800ish rpm smooth idle with smooth acceleration from the light.
I have been battling a small intermittent miss for years. Another member suggested a going bad igniter could cause a miss..... And since it sends to the tach, could this be my root for both tach issues and small miss? How who I test the ignitor?
