Ok which one (SR5 or DLX) came with power windows/locks/inclinometer/tach etc and the sun roof in a 4runner with a removable top?

Sometimes I feel like I'm herding cats..........

I believe the power windows, locks and tach were standard on the SR5 and optional on the DLX, and the sunroof and inclinometer was optional on both models... but I may be wrong.

Yup that's what I thought also. Just as a for instance my rig is an SR5, has the tach but no power windows or locks. I've seen some that say SR5 on the back end and although they have power windows/locks they do not have the tach........ bunch of crazy mixed up parts and pieces that makes it impossible to find what I'm looking for.

My '84 has no power options except steering. It also came with a tach and a inclinometer. No sunroof or a/c either.

They didn't have electricity back then.

Most sr5's have the power windows, sunroof, inclometer, rear heat, light plug next to gas door knob etc. The deluxe usually had black bumpers and no clock. There were some with chrome bumpers and clock but no tach.

Know its not a runner...
But my 88 SR5 truck has black bumber caps, power windows, mirrors, locks, fully adjustable seats, 5-speed, 3.0slow, color-key'd middle-bumber and center grill and sun-roof. Also has a lamp plug-in under the dash.
Love to find one of those factory yota lamps. Either way all of this stuff are optional I do believe. Most of the Dlx models have all the chrome stuff from the factory. Usually the SR5 models are the one's you find all the option'son from my experience.

All the SR-5s have a tachometer in the instrument cluster, and all have map lights, carpeted door panels, and SR-5 emblems on the tailgate.

The Deluxe doesn't have those features, but has chrome grille. Base models have a black grille.

Power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, A/C, cruise, sunroofs, power antennas, inclinometers, door panel courtesy lights are all options, even on SR-5s.

The eighth digit of the VIN on all my SR-5s is S or W. My Deluxe is D.

Some 4Runners came with wing windows, some didn't. All Turbo 4Runner models, as far as I know, came with digital dash and came without wing windows.

If you have a base model, please post the eighth digit of your VIN.

I was lucky to get this in the glove box of one of my rigs:

I don't think it's ever been used.

Thank you for the information, of course this makes it harder to find what I want. I'd almost kill to have a loaded SR5 4runner in 86 or 87, turbo would be great but those things are hard to find. I'm a little different when it comes to what most folks look for in a rig. I like carpet and a cherry factory interior with as little aftermarket stuff in there as possible.

Like this, ignore the darn missing spots on the arm rest since I can't seem to find a good one to replace it with.

I'd like my first 4runner to be that clean.

Oh and I've seen one of those lights in the glove box of a runner in the local pick n pull but didn't know what it was, should have bought it I guess.

So would you like to sell one of your runners with power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, A/C, cruise, sunroof, power antenna, inclinometer and door panel courtesy lights? **grin*

Thanks! Believe it or not but I refuse to replace the factory radio since it still works, along with the speakers, and I have an old ZZ Top cassette tape that I listen to when I go off road. You can't find memories like that in a cd..... the scratchy sound takes me back to my youth.

I had my console cover redone at a local upholstery shop for $50.00, it was worth it. My 4runner had all of the options except the turbo. I changed the windows to manual a few years ago and like them alot better.

Robb is that the 4runner you brought when we went out to Cedro?

If so then you need to let me know if you decide to sell it, really. I mean you don't drive it much anyway and your wife will understand..... maybe. *laugh*
