Spring removal help needed

How the hell do I get the springs out of the rear end of my 92 4runner?? I disconected the shocks, sway bar, and lossened up the brake lines. And the dam axle dropped to the ground with the 4runner on jackstands and the springs were still in tight. Am I missing something?

Only need to post a question once... this one is in the correct forum, and the other one will likly be deleted for doublepost and wrong forum, so I will answer again here.

Did you remove the tires? You may need to jack the truck up higher... There is no retaining clip, you just need to get the axle far enough away.. Otherwise your doing it correctly..

Okay so i jacked up the 4runner by the axle, took off the tires, put jack stands under the frame, lowered axle some, disconected the shocks and sway bar, lossened up the brake lines so as not to break them , and then let the axle down slowly. And the dam axle went all the way down and the springs were still under alot of pressure. and they would not budge. Am i being a deedee, and not seeing some thing? I have the tall suv/truck jack stands and they are up realy high, to the point the 3ton jack was almost maxed out. Ineed to get this fixed by monday to get to work.

jacking up one side works good, also I had the tall suv jack stands and I needed to but them up on some 6"x8" pieces of wood I had around. A helping hand helps as well.
