speedometer sensor?

Hi all, I have a 1995 tacoma 4x4 4 cylinder automatic 2.7 liter. Anybody know where the speedometer sensor is on it and how to change it out with a new one? Thanks for reading! Any advice will be greatly appreciated

Thanks, My speedometer doesn't work I ordered a new speedometer cable from the dealership but the computer diagnostic read that my speed sensor is broken so I was wondering if the speedometer cable comes with the speed sensor, I know the speedometer cable runs from the transmission to the back of the speedometer but I don't know if it comes with the sensor

Did you look at your truck to see if it has a speedometer cable? Did you give the dealer your VIN# so that he could search parts for your specific vehicle?
I just looked up your truck on Rockauto.com and it says that your truck has a speed sensor (electrical signal) in the transfer case and not a speedometer gear that drives a speedometer cable. that's probably the one that is gone, the #2 speed sensor at the back of the speedometer is seldom a problem. If that's what it is you don't want to buy it from a dealer....it's about $120.00 from a dealer, $50-$60 after market.

The main one is probably in the speedometer, my '96 Tacoma and my daughters '97 have a cable setup. Crawl under and look.
