Speedometer

I am working on the inoperable speedometer in my 86 4runner.
So far I oiled and checked cable for the inner cable to spin. It checks out.
I checked the speedo and made the needle move with my fingers spinning the speedo assembly in the cluster.

I seem to not be spinning from the Tcase.
This truck had a manual tranny swapped in, itwas originally an automatic.
The transfercase had 4.7 gear installed in it.

Could the Tcase gear install messed something up?
Or is there a silly issue with the tranny swap?
It is a mechanical Speedo setup.

If your sure the speedometer cable isn`t broken, make sure there are no sharp bends in the cable that would cause it not to work. there is always a possibility that the gear in the transfer case is bad or wasn`t installed properly.
