Speedo Cable replacement, Help!
I'm in the middle of replacing the speedo cable and need to know how to disconnect the e-brake cable at the handle so I can feed it through the plate and grommet that goes through the firewall. Any help would be appreciated.

If you are dealing with a V6 application, you'll be better off disconnecting the E-brake cable at the bell crank arm under the truck, and then back-tracking it (taking it loose) back to the cab. Pull it all into the cab, and then feed it back through the new speedo bracket, and put it back together.
I have also read that some people cut a notch into the plate of the new speedo cable, to make it easier the next time around.
I have no idea if the 4 bangers are the same, or not.

Yes, it's a V6. Seem's to me a fella out to be able to disconnect the cable at the handle, and slide the speedo cable and mounting plate up through the cab and over the end of the e-brake cable. Is this possible or is it more work that it appears? If do-able, how do you disconnect the the e-brake cable from the handle? Also, removed the speedo head and there was a lot of old grease splattered around the back of it. I cleaned it up up as best I could w/out taking it apart. Would really like to get it apart some more to clean it better, but not sure how to get the needle out to remove the faceplate and get to some screws to remove the rear of the housing.
