Speed Sensor Location

I think you mean rear of the transfer case (with a two-speed transfer case, it doesn't do any good to use the speed sensor in the transmission for the speedometer).
I believe the '92 has the electronic sensor, but if you find a speedo cable instead, you don't.

Good point. But this only applies to the cable-driven speedometer. If you have the electronic VSS1 on the transfer case, that replaces the reed-sensor in the cluster.
Mine ('94, 4x4) has the electronic sensor. I don't know which years/models that applies to.

On my pickup witch is a 95 I think there are 2 speed sensors located in the transfer case and top of the transmission. I think 92 was when they switched it to electronic speed sensors.
Does anyone know how to remove the one on the transmission it is giving me some trubble.
