Special tools for rotors and ball joint swap '94 runner?
Did a quick search but didn't find my answer. Replacing the rotors and ball joints next week on my '95 4Runner and needed to know if I need any special tools like for the hubs? Haven't done this since I had a Bronco 20 years ago. Thank you!!

You'll need a ball joint separator. https://www.autozone.com/loan-a-tool...ype/787834_0_0 You can use a "pickle fork," because you don't care about damaging the ball joints, but in my mind that tool is only for amateurs. The one from Autozone is part of their tool loaner program, so cost is no excuse.
You'll also need to set the pre-load on the axle nut. http://web.archive.org/web/201204242.../5frontaxl.pdf So you'll need a 5-lb spring scale, and the correct size socket for the axle nut. I don't recall the size off-hand (and you should measure yours, anyway). Again, free loaners at Autozone.

Proud Pickle Fork user ! I have a nice one that fits on the Air Hammer a set of three different sizes
These only get used if the parts are not being reinstalled
Does this mean I can have Amateur Status ??
