Spark Plugs for the 3vze

What do you like?
From the search I did, most said NGK V-Power. Sooo, I went to NGK's site and looked it up 2 different ways...for the pickup and the 4Runner and it gave different numbers. ?W?T?F?
What you got? Part numbers please!

When you look up the plug for an 88 4Runner 3.0 It doesn't even mention that number.

1988 TOYOTA 4RUNNER SR5 3.0 V6 3VZ-E FI

Spark Plug Part No. Stock No. Plug Gap Photo
V-Power BCPR5EY # 1266 .032
G-Power BCPR5EGP 7086 .032
Laser Platinum BCPR5EP-8 * 2950 .032
Iridium IX BCPR5EIX 5688 .032 n/a

If you look it up as a pickup its different.

1988 TOYOTA PICKUP SR5 3.0 V6 3VZ-E FI

Spark Plug Part No. Stock No. Plug Gap Photo
Standard BKR5ES 2460 .032
V-Power BKR5EYA # 2087 .032
G-Power BKR5EGP 7090 .032
Iridium IX BKR5EIX 6341 .032

What's up with that?

I'm really not looking for info on which one will "just do"
I'm trying to get info from a 3.0 person as to which plug do they recomend.
Still wondering which V-power? Thanks!

You've GOT to go in knowing what you want, otherwise they'll gladly sell you the wizbam $100 what ever.

Ok I went with the BKR5EYA...I found this chart...the plugs seem to be vertually the same. I went with the "A" cause it says special design. LOL

And we all know I'm special!

Runs like new!

I have the E3 spark plugs for 6 months and have had no problem. Not much if any help on mpg but do give it a little more power than others. The only downside is that they cost a little more per plug.

The new plugs are in and its running so much better. I'm going to replace the cap and rotor as well. It was about $30 for both at my local dealer. None of the online guys even had listings for the 3.0 V6. I'm gonna put them in this weekend...hoping for even more improvement but its running so nice right now.

So far I'm just gonna do the cap and rotor. Wires seem to be in good condition. I'm gonna go a step at a time and spend as little as possible.
I need to build my beer bank.

So, I put a new cap and rotor in and it seems like it's still improving. I want to keep replacing parts to see if I can get any more improvement. Is there anything else in the distributor I can replace.

Your input is appreciated.
