Spark Plug Stuck
#22
I just stumbled across this forum and thread when I searched for stuck spark plug. I had the same problem today. After reading all the entries I decided to try running the engine to normal operating temp. and then trying it right after shut down. It worked without problem and I am good to go. Thanks for everybody posting their ideas.
I wonder what the outcome for the OP was?

thanks for bumping this thread... this gives me an opportunity to point out some misinformation here...
1) DO NOT regap worn plugs... if it's worn, replace them!
2) DO NOT remove plugs in a hot engine if you can help it... since all that metal has expanded, thread damage may result
3) DO NOT use anti-seize with plated spark plugs, which is what japanese engines tend to use... NGK says so: http://www.ngkplugpro.ca/content/con...SparkPlugs.pdf
It doesn't matter if the plugs are made by NGK or Denso, the materials and construction techniques will be pretty much the same... the NGK memo shows that if the plug has silverish metal, it is plated.. if it's black like what you see on those domestic V8 tapered plugs, then use anti-seize
I made the mistake of using anti-seize before and the plugs were very hard to remove afterwards after 30000 miles... I've since stopped using that crap and taking plugs off has never been easier
