so im at o'rielys buying a set of ngk plugs and some wires
Trust me, if i had money for toyota plugs and wires i would deff go get those.
but
i decide to pick up some of this stuff.
anyone else believe in using it??

its called dielectric grease. keeps water out of electrical connections and such. works wonders for not corroding and keeping connectors clean and easy to disconnect etc. i think it works awesome.

I use dielectric grease all the time. Smear some on your battery posts to keep them clean.

Yes, by all means you should use it each time you change out your plugs and/or wires. That's what it's for. I also use it on my battery posts like Jay mentioned above.

Are you talking about anti-seize for the threads or dielectric grease or whatever it's called for the boots? I think both are good to use. I don't pay $1 for those little packets at the counter, though. You can buy a larger tube for not much more and then you have it.

so should i smear the stuff on the ends of the plugs too, and the wire between the coil and distributer ?

just put it on spark plug where connects to the wire, also every time i have bought wires they came with little pouchs of the stuff in the box so i didn't have to buy it extra!

Make sure you coat those plug threads in anti-seize

No don't put the dialectric on the end of the spark plugs, certainly not in the electrode area. Others have mentioned putting anti-seize compound on the threads to facilitate easy removal in the future. Anti-seize is sold at all auto parts stores.

Just coat the rubber boot with your finger along the inside lip or around the ceramic body of the plug, either way will work & it will seal out moisture & facilitate boot removal in the future. Don't glob it on.
