Alright so here is my newest revelation... Bought a new fuel pump bracket and while I was installing it the fuel pump electrical connector wouldn't fit... The connector in the old bracket had been modified to fit this particular pump. It's an achr efp380207G... Looked it up and toyota is no where in the applications for this particular pump, tried to find the specs for it and the actual pump that goes on it but no luck.. Guess I'll be buying a pump!

let me know if that pump fixes the stumbling issue at low throttle. mine does the same exact thing but I just assumed it was from atf going into my intake from the powersteering vsv. I would check that too because I think that caused my valves to burn because the 2 cyliners on the passenger side where the vacuum lines come in have a pretty bad miss. I have a new fuel pump in my garage but since it seemed to be working, I didn't bother installing it yet. also, anyone on here know what would cause either pressure or vacuum inside the fuel tank? every time I get fuel, it sounds like im opening a air brakes bleeder valve as I open the gas cap, but I don't feel it blow out, so it might be sucking air into the tank.

Alrighty, same story different day, got the fuel pump in and no change, acted a little better at first but it was very short lived... Still studded sat low rpm, anyone think injectors could cause a studded at low rpms? I'm going to pull spark plugs again tomorrow and check the gaps... I didn't check the gaps when I put em in.. Also going to check the timing tomorrow (I'll be learning a new skill) I've ohm checked the vsv's and they all checked good, didn't apply battery power though to check if I could blow through em...
As for as the air in the gas tank I do know that is standard for these pickups.. I can't really explain it but I know if you don't have a good seal on the gas cap it won't run right.. Anyway I'll keep checking and prodding away at it.
No check engine light has returned FYI I'll report back any findings tomorrow
Thanks guys!

GIts really hard to say. I believe clogged injectors would cause stuttering bu also a loss of power at all rpm. How does engine run at high rpm?

Oh boy, guess what guys! Problem solved, timing it was! The timing was retarded pretty drastically... Reset it to somewhere around 10-12 btdc. She purrs like a kitten now! No more stumbling, no more misfire, brought the idle down, wow what a difference! I'm happy! I appreciate all the help you guys offered! Y'all are the ..... Guess I better not say that word, but I sure appreciate everything!

First I found the timing marks on the engine and on the crankshaft pulley. It was pretty simple on mine with it being a new engine. I took a piece of chalk and marked mine so I could easily see them. You then have to take a jumper wire and jump the TE1 and E1 slots in the diagnostic port, The timing light that I have simply clamps onto the #1 cylinder spark plug wire and then on the positive and negative battery terminals. Start the truck up and aim the light at the timing marks that you chalked up and you'll be able to see where your truck is timed at!

If you go down to page EG2-25 it gives really good instructions on how to do it if you have the 3VZE engine.
